Neymar's Barcelona transfer under legal scrutiny again as Spanish authorities calls for fraud charges

Spanish authorities want Neymar to face fraud charges over his transfer from Santos to Barcelona in 2013.
The Brazilian superstar's move to Catalunya has been mired in controversy virtually since it was confirmed.
Barcelona claimed the fee was €57million at the time Neymar joined, but later admitted that the total was north of €80m.
That controversy ended in the resignation of Barca president Sandro Rosell and has sparked court cases claiming unpaid taxes and owed moneys.
The latest report, from Spanish news agency EFE, claims that Brazilian investment group DIS are behind the latest push, after receiving just US$6.8million for their 40% share of Neymar's economic rightsNeymar of FC Barcelona arrives at the National Court accompanied with his father Neymar da Silva SantosWith the transfer fee now confirmed as being close to €80million, DIS want a fairer share and judicial sources have told EFE that prosecutor Jose Perals has asked Audiencia Nacional judge Jose de la Mata to call Neymar Junior, his father and ex-Barca president Sandro Rosell to court to answer fraud charges relating to the transfer.
It has been a busy time for Barcelona players in court, with defender Javier Mascherano earlier this year being sentenced to a year in prison for tax offences before bargaining with the authorities to suspend the jail term.
Lionel Messi appeared in court this week over his own tax affairs , where he is expected to be cleared of wrongdoing, while his lawyers also won a case of defamation against Argentinean newspaper La Razón this week.
